"We have stayed at the Cliff Dweller several times thru the years. We always enjoy our stay because reguardless of the room we stay in we have a wonderful view of the lake from our own private deck. The rooms are always clean and well kept plus an excellent free breakfast to start the day. A great value. Our only regret is the limited amount of time we have to go back.

"We went up for a quick trip during the week, and the motel was beautiful! The staff was very accommodating; rooms were very clean and well kept, as well as an amazing view of the lake! I would definitely recommend this motel to anyone, and hope to return soon!"

"The Northshore has been Heaven for my entire family for years on end now; there is just no place any of us would rather be. Staying at Cliff Dweller is our special treat! The whole gang (Buddy too!) up there makes us feel so welcomed. Even sharing Christmas with them one year, has been one of our favorite memories and we hope to build many more as the seasons change & years fly by. I always look forward to my special 'girltime' with daughter & granddaughter, at Cliff Dweller, enjoying The Fishermen's Picnic in Grand Marais. No matter when we come or with whom - we are so blessed. We'd never stay anywhere else; Cliff Dweller's rooms, all with balconies on the Lake, simply take your breath away. Breakfast, a game of table checkers or chess, fireplace room for reading, Community places that are just downright hospitable & cozy. THE STAFF IS DELIGHTFUL and a highlight of every one of our stays! No wonder we go back, over & over & over again."

"What an incredible view we had from our room's balcony. It was breath-taking. Lake Superior is so peaceful in the winter. The BW is a great ski retreat with Lutsen Mountain nearby. We plan to make it a place we stay each year."

"We have stayed at the Cliff Dweller for our vacation for each of the past three years. Each time we were treated with the kindest of hospitality. The views of Lake Superior from each and every room is breathtaking and we have never been disappointed with our rooms. Each has been exceptionally clean and the staff is more than accomidating. The complimentary breakfast is more than anyone could expect with home baked muffins and the best cheese omelet squares I think we have ever had! The motel is located in the heart of some of the best hiking trails and scenic views. We will be staying at the Cliff Dweller again this year for sure!"
